Te Deum is aso available in a lower tessitura for Bb Trumpet, there is also an intermediate version too for semi-pro players.
Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s magnificent Trumpet Tune—famous as the Eurovision theme—is presented here in an exciting arrangement for Piccolo Trumpet in A and Organ, designed for professional players.
Brilliant, ceremonial and instantly recognisable, it is ideal for recitals, weddings, church services, festivals and other celebratory occasions.
The music comes from the Prelude to Charpentier’s Te Deum in D major, H.146. Charpentier composed six settings of the Te Deum, of which four survive. H.146 is the best known, largely because of its celebrated Prelude. This grand motet for soloists, choir and instrumental ensemble was probably written between 1688 and 1698, while Charpentier was musical director at the Jesuit Church of Saint-Louis in Paris. It is believed to have been performed during celebrations marking the French victory at the Battle of Steinkirk in August 1692.
Other versions in lower tessituras, suitable for semi-professional and younger players, are also available in my store.
